ALLERGIC TO WATER: TRUE MEDICAL PHENOMENA

Today, in an exclusive interview, we will meet Heidi, a 16 year-old girl who is allergic to water. All her life Heidi has had to live without bathing, drinking, swimming, or even crying. Whenever she comes in contact with water, her skin blisters, she gets rashes, and if she were to drink a glass of water, she could die from the experience. In spite of this rare allergy (she is the only person recorded to have been born with this affliction) she and her family remain very positive. You'll also meet an amazingly petite woman who was born with Primordial Dwarfism, type 2. This means she is perfectly proportioned, yet only 3 feet high. Many people born with this form of dwarfism have many health issues, but at age 22, Kristen is going to school and learning to drive. Finally, we'll meet a young woman born with Williams Syndrome, a genetic disorder that can cause severe physical and mental hardships, but which also gives an unusual talent to those born with it. Meghan, like many with Williams Syndrome, has a natural musical ability that she'll share with us today.
