I'm not handicapped, I'm blessed!)and refuses to give in, I can only say thank god for you and your mother! You making a public appearance on Montel gave me hope. We've been trying to find the right help for my niece and I think you just answered it. I'm going to take this tape with my research to the doctors, the school whoever it takes, to get her what she needs. She gives me great joy but is getting very upset, scared and withdrawn now that middle school is coming next year. It makes me sad to see this joyous child giving up and giving in to peer pressure. I am 16 years old now and I may have used to make fun of people for things they could not help, but now even though i am a teen i dont do it anymore because i have already learned to get to know people more before you judge them. I didnt even have to get to know you more though...my first impression of you was a good one...u are a great singer and musician. I have been singing my entire life and I even tried out for Canadian Idol last year and it was the experience of a life time, to meet so many different people with so many different backgrounds and unique talents really made me feel united with my fellow man. Amazing Grace is one of my favourites and is kind of a signature song for me and I thought you sounded wonderful on Montel, hold on to your dreams Meg I learned a great lesson from you today, that if you beleive enough in yourself and your dreams that life can be everything you make it and want it to be, thankyou. Anyway, I wasn't able to catch your whole bit on montel- just a tiny little section, but I swear I remember you from childhood or adolescent years. My gut feeling is that I probably wasn't overly nice to you. I am sorry. As an adult I can tell you it had nothing to do with you, but everything to do with my low self image and horrible home life. I think I tried to deal with my pain with fancy designer clothes and always keeping enough of the "beautiful people" around me, never really getting to know the truly beautiful people (like you) I am a mother and a wife now and WOW! that changes everything. Seeing you today on the television was bitter sweet-Sweet because as a woman and an artist you ROCK!!!! Bitter because I missed out on you when I had the chance. Our family is blessed to have a Williams child also and I see so many similarities between you and my nephew.
